Rima Shekem AlAzem
A mother of two and an Occupational Therapist working with school aged children, Rima Shekem Alazem lives in Milton, ON. She has more than 15 years of experience working with children with special needs. She is very passionate about children's development and seeks ways to enrich their environments in order to enhance their skills, both physically and cognitively. Rima has taken a special interest in working with parents to spread awareness about ways to optimize their children’s development based on the impact of movement and learning. She has consulted with parents and educators, and worked directly with children, on adapting their environments to suit their needs as well as teaching and developing their skills at their pace and level. She is also a published author of a childrens’ book in Arabic, inspired by her daughter’s creativity, which aims at enlivening children’s imagination. Rima enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the beauty of Ontario, Canada, and traveling.
